Titus Trips to Columbia and Korea Finished

The Project Titus trips to Colombia and Korea are now finished.  Both were blessed with good, safe travels and good gospel work.  There will be more details to come about these trips, including some interviews with participants on WSEM-TV.  For now, let this suffice:  Former tutor Pastor Dan Schmidt reports that the Colombia trip was "life changing."  The group, led by Pastor Schmidt, his wife Andrea, and Mrs. Kay Retberg, spent time in Bogota teaching at a school and participating in worship, along with fostering good relationships.  The students involved were:  Garrett Schoch, Noah Willitz, Caitlyn Henderson, and Anna Lindloff (all graduates this year), along with MLS seniors Morgan Jacob and Katie Kobs.

Project Titus Korea just got back as well.  This trip's purpose was to conduct an English/vbs camp in behalf of our sister synod's mission in Seoul.  The camp was held about an hour or so outside of Seoul in a mountainous area, at a church camp that gets rented out.  There was a swimming pool at the camp which was one of the highlights, of course.  Our group spent many challenging hours teaching English, the Bible, singing hymns, and supervising about 60 Korean kids whose English varied from not much at all to "ok."  We had weekends on both sides of the camp to see sites in Seoul (including the DMZ) and shopping.  Much Korean food was enjoyed.  We also got to worship on two Sundays with our brothers and sisters at East Seoul Canaan Lutheran Church, and we saw every MLS Korean student while there, several of whom spent time with us on the weekends (and Tim Seo at the camp).  The participants were:  Anna Schneider, graduate; seniors to be Jacob Bode and Noel Fletcher, and junior to be Todd Brassow.  Prof. and Mrs. Prof. Kock were the chaperones.
