Viva Titus Las Vegas

This summer five MLS students were privileged to take part in the Project Titus “Viva Las Vegas” experience. Maria Prange, Nicole Miela, Nathan Deering, Jonathan Miela and Travis Williams were a huge help in the Space Station Salvation VBS at Water of Life Lutheran Church. In preparation for the VBS they did most of the prep work for the crafts during the week, designed and painted the backdrop for the theme, and handed out flyers around the neighborhood. During the week Maria and Jon were in charge of creating and leading the games for the kids while Travis, Nicole, and Nathan each helped out in different classrooms. On average we had about 75 kids join us each night to learn about their Savior. On one of our final days in Las Vegas we headed to Pastor Strong’s church, Shepherd of the Hills to hand out flyers in a nearby neighborhood followed by some afternoon pool time. Since our VBS was at night we were able to do lots of sightseeing during the day. Jeeping in Red Rock Canyon with Pastor Vogt was definitely one of the favorites of the whole group. We also hiked Mt. Charleston to an elevation of almost 10,000 ft! Seeing the bright lights of downtown Las Vegas at night and touring the extravagant hotels kept the cameras snapping constantly as well. What a joy to see the Lord’s hand at work while at Water of Life. The dedicated church members, Pastor Vogt and his family continue to be great examples of the Lord working through his people to bring more souls to his Word. May our gracious God continue to bless all the members of Water of Life and their mission in Las Vegas.
